That's what the Ventrino traffic exchange script's implementation of twitter can do for you by getting your members to promote your exchange :--)
Member Tweets
Your members can tweet new text ads and links they upload to their own twitter page.
Newsletters and Quick stats
Using a cron you can regularly tweet stats and newsletters to your own twitter page.
These two features utilise cli.gs an online service for shortening URLs. In time we will introduce more such as bit.ly and uhit.us.
To utilise these features you need to setup some parameters in the BCP:-

One last thing to do is add twittercron.php to your cron/schedule. If you are not familiar with setting up a cron click here for more information.
Completing the Twitter Application Registration form
Go to your twitter page and select Settings --> Connections and on the right hand side you will see a link for developers to register an application. Select that and choose Register a new application and complete the form.
Most of it is self explanatory and you should choose words and urls that match your site. Where it asks for a Callback URL you can cut and paste the one found in the twitter settings of your BCP.
The second part of the form should be completed as follows replacing the callback URL with the one found in your BCP twitter settings:
