Your hosting plan must provide industry standard features such as email, FTP. As it's unlikely you will find a hosting plan without an acceptible list of standard features we do not list them here. However there are some features which vary from company to company and the features listed below are a minimum requirement. We state PHP 4.1 is a minimum, therefore if your host provides PHP 5.25 then the script woll operate correctly.
*For performance and security it is better that these are installed as an extension by default which mosts hosts will have done for you already. If the host does not have them installed It is usually possible to install these without their assistance, however they must allow the dl() function (see PHP Info to check if your host allows the dl() function) and this is sometimes considered a risk.
Even though 99% of hosting companies already have them installed you may come across one that does not. Provide them with this link and ask if they will install them for you: http://www.ioncube.com/loader_installation.php it is a 2 minute job and presents no risk to the server (indeed it improves the PHP performance).
The following features are recommended but are not required for your script to run correctly. Most hosting providers offer these features automatically but if you are in any doubt it would be wise to check before ordering if possible.
PHP offers more than one way to solve most problems and the script will detect if a host has blocked one and use an alternative when available. This means overall system requirements are minimal and 99.9% of installations complete without issue. If you have a problem please post your PHP Info in the installation forum and we will be happy to advise what changes your host may need to make to complete the installation (note that we have never had a situation where a host is not willing to make the required modifications).
