Ventrino Forum for Walker Scripts _ Third Party Products & Services _ Flash Scratch Off Card

Posted by: maxxscape Mar 29 2010, 04:27 PM

have managed to tie in a FLASH Scratch off ticket for us with the Ventrino TE.

The way it works is, the user clicks the icon from the menu in the tools area. They are presented a scratch card. They click the squares on the card and a coin scratches off the square, revealing an icon. Once all squares are revealed, they click a button that takes them to a prize page. Currently, it is set up to add automatically add hit points. It can also take them to a custom page to give them additional prizes like upgrades or what ever you choose...

Here is a sample that is not tied in to the site... I wanted to put it out this way so that you didn't have to sign up at his site if you didn't want to...

http://mtpockets.info/scratch/

The prizes in there are generic and will be "real" after the site owner get them set up... This iteration will be used to drive traffic to his site as well as other programs...

The cost of the program and setup is $50.

If you want the face of the card to have your own site logo, add $10

other options and customizations can be negotiated.

Hi Maxx,

I have an issue with giving my name ane email address just to test a script. Makes me not very interested, esp as if I join a Te site, I can later remove my personal info if I choose, here I don't have that option. sad.gif

Hello,

I also agree......

Just about finished with the one i was working on.....

Plus we are doing fully customizing of the Ventrino Template System....(VTS Template System). This will allow you to use any template you want (Flash, html, css, wordpress, any template). Right now it is a manual install...just PM me and we can do it.

That is how the script is set up really... How else will you know who to award prizes to when you are driving people to your site?

Of courses, if you 'spoof' it, there's nothing to worry about right?

Hello,

So it can be spoofed?

Sorry just asking questions.....so what am i signing up for? A TE? Another kind of site?

Look i think it is great you may have did this......but you said this is a ventrino plug-in..but i see no TE?

Can we see it through your site? If so i will check it out.

Best Wishes

What I mean is, in this "sample" if you are worried about putting in your real email address then don't, make one up.

Hello,

Well i tried it out.....works good..BUT. It did not assign credits won?

As all coders know the hardest part is getting the credits assigned to the right members.

You might want to check this out? I have several games and some other secret projects 90% completed....but the credit rewarding is very difficult and needs to be tested over and over.

But anyway good luck !!

Posted by: maxxscape Apr 1 2010, 04:26 PM

Actually it does. There were 5090 hits, I hit three cherries for 10 points and now the hits are 5100

I could be a cookie issue since others are using the same test account

If you use your own account, there shouldn't be a problem... Of course, since you signed in under "test" initially, I'm not 100% sure if ventrino will overwrite that cookie or not so you may have to clear them first...

Clear your cookies and try the test account again...

Hello,

Ok look....what i am saying it has the potential to be a email collector? If you integrated this to ventrino...you need to remove the the part that requires a email address to play !!

I think you will find i am not the only one that has concerns about that part. This also has the potential to be a leads collector for resell? See what i mean...it goes on and on.

I am in no way bashing what you have done.....i for one love new plug-ins (we all do).

If you can do away with that part you will have a good seller!!

you have a good point... I left it in mainly for another level of "human" intervention.

Maybe I will tweak it as you say and then leave that part up to the owner...

The other reason it is there, it was originally developed for other clients that use it as a capture page...

Posted by: Horror Movie Hits Apr 1 2010, 07:43 PM

Another reason why the e-mail capture before the game wouldn't be popular is because many members surf in multiple tabs. They don't want to be bothered stopping and filling out a form and stopping the flow. That's just my surfer standpoint.

Precisely Don!

Surfers are not going to take time to stop
and fill out a form when the Te would already
know who they are - needs some more coding
to make it complete viable plug-in.

Just my 2-cents worth

Hi Guys

When I Surf And Page Pops Up I Enter My Details , After That Every Time page Pops Up The Details are already entered for me so just need to play .

Correct me if Im wrong here but don't we need members to view our pages or am I missing something here . is it not the whole point of a Traffic Exchange and why members upgrade .

Just my thoughts but I could Be wrong as Im Just a newbie to running a TE site

If a members notices, stops, and plays the game, aren't they already looking at the pages then?

Taking the advice of the experts here. The game is now part of the games list and no extra typing required to play

Took awhile to get back to it, was busy developing some other sites...

Hello,

What happened to the test account?

Posted by: maxxscape Nov 1 2010, 01:56 PM

Hi - This is a different site - My old one that I had up before developing my others... I started again from scratch...

I set it up with...

username: maxxscape_at_gmail.com

of course, change the _at_ to the correct symbol

password: ventrino...

Also the games page is set to show up every 2 surfs so you don't have to click that much to get to it... Haven't started advertising the site yet so I will leave it like that until things get rolling

the very first page is from one of the sites I created and that is one of the promo pages so that one WILL have the entry blocks on the for for the name and email... The one you are looking for in on the games page
