If you have used Facebook Connect to join you will note that you have to re-authenticate after your session expires. A session lasts for just 15 minutes so this can lead to frustrating situations where you may have been completing a form, hit the submit button and all your work lost. That is perhaps the worst scenario but it is frustrating to have to keep logging in especially when this has an impact on the integrity of your browsers cookies and sometimes needs multiple attempts and re-attempts to get Facebook Connect to authenticate you.
I have opened several requests to have this fixed by the FB Connect developers but they continue to resolutely affirm its not possible. TechCrunch and other technology blogs manage it and there are several components for Joomla too so perhaps once they have overcome the politics we will get this one solved too.
In the mean time you may have to put up with re-authentication for awhile. If they don't fix it in the next release then we will write a component to replace or fix theirs.
